Artistic inspiration: I have always had a sense of wonder with the sea, hence this ocean series. The Seahorse is as recognizable as an old ship’s anchor and Neptune’s trident. Our navy has used the powerful insignia image of the Seahorse for many years. I wanted to show the cheval de la mare with ethereal and majestic qualities and fragile grace.
